Description
Small Shankh (Conch Shell) is one of the religious objects used in Vedic culture which represents divinity, shield, and sound-energy power. It is small in size, but formed with strong vibrations, which scatter negativity and bring calm and blessings of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
When the shankh is blown on a daily pooja done or when used in rituals, it is believed it produces the primary sound of the universe as Om and it dispels the negative energies and makes the place much more spiritual. Its very existence, even without being blown, itself constitutes a spiritual shield and is highly auspicious in Vastu.
Use during daily pooja, aarti, or meditation to initiate spiritual energy.
Place on the pooja altar, Lakshmi idol, or Kalash for divine vibrations.
Blow gently at sunrise or during prayers to awaken the energy field.
Soak the shankh in water mixed with Ganga jal, rock salt, or rose water before first use. Dry with a clean cloth. Recharge by placing it under moonlight or near a lit ghee diya.
Store in North-East or East direction of your pooja room. Hang it on a clean cloth when not in use, and keep near sacred idols or in your prayer corner. Avoid placing it on the floor or near impure items.
Handle with clean hands. Clean weekly using plain or rose water. Avoid exposure to hot water, chemical or perfumes.
Wrap in a veil of white or yellow and bury in reverential imity to the side of a holy tree, or running water, putting a slight prayer of gratitude at the head.
Use with Brass Diya, Tulsi Mala, or Gomati Chakra for enhanced protection and spiritual purity.
