Description
Another robust and holy tool in Vastu Hindu rituals is the Blowing Shankh Conch Shell. It is considered a purifying sound that removes the negative energies in your house as well as drawing blessings and achieving a higher vibration of spirituality. The conch sound symbolises Om the sound of the cosmos during the creation and is highly related to Lord Vishnu. It is considered to create a spiritual awakening, ward off bad spirits, and bring peace to the home.
Sounded either at sunrise, pooja, or spiritual ceremonies, blowing the shankh clears stagnant energy, sharpens focus, and overcomes deficiencies of mantra chanting that is why it is most suitable to deepen spiritual practice.
Morning Pooja: Blow it before beginning to invite peace and divine energy.
Before Entering the Prayer Room: Use it to cleanse your energy and intention.
During Aarti or Special Events: Amplifies the spiritual ambiance and symbolises the triumph of good over evil.
Cleanse the shankh before first use using Ganga jal, rose water, or rock salt water. Leave it under moonlight or near a diya overnight. To activate, hold it with devotion and chant:
“Om Kleem Krishnaya Namah”, focusing on purity and protection.
Store the shankh facing North or East in the pooja area. Wrap in a white or saffron cloth and place it near idols. Avoid keeping it on the floor or in impure areas.
Use only with clean hands. Clean weekly or daily with plain water along with dry soft cloth. Avoid chemicals and perfumes.
Wrap in red or yellow cloth and respectfully bury near flowing water or a flowering tree with gratitude.
Enhance energy by pairing with a Brass Diya, Tulsi Mala, or Rudraksha Beads. Cleanse during full moon or festivals for added power.
